Two trainee policemen have been struck by a car while walking across a zebra crossing. The accident happened in Miskolc on Monday morning. The 18- and 19-year old students were hit by a car as they were crossing from the college to the school at St. Peter’s gate (Szentpéteri kapu). The accident left both injured, one seriously.
The accident happened on Highway 26, a busy dual-carriageway, and although a car had stopped in the outside lane to let the pedestrians cross, another car approaching the crossing on the inside lane did not slow down.

Both students are in training to become Police Sergeants, and both are residents of Heves county.
